Side profile of me, with a new mullet cut and my fancy sparkly snake earrings. Feeling fabulous and Queer and utterly me!

My name is Katrina (she/her); I am an Elementary teacher, a soon-to-be-certified Teacher Librarian, and an uninvited Queer, White settler on the beautiful, unceded territories of the Lək̓ʷəŋən-speaking Peoples (currently known as Esquimalt and Songhees Nations) and W̱SÁNEĆ Nations. In my practice, I seek to connect heart and spirit, land, stories, cultures, and identities to decolonize and co-create lifelong learning.

As I move through my journey of teaching and learning in this place, I hope to share nuggets of my growth, the mistakes I’ve made and am learning from, the moments that felt right, the people and spaces that offer inspiration, and the things I hope to remember for years to come.

I am so excited to be on this journey!
